4 students attended the BFK Karate Championships representing the Frontier Karate Association Squad.
Ayden Wong competed in kata and although performed a good kata did not pass first round with his Superempi.
Kobe participated in the Junior -55kg section, securing a 1st round win went onto fight a 2nd opponent and just fell short of a win in a place in the final. His final fight was against a Scottish competitor and fought well finishing his fight 9-2 and securing a bronze medal.
Quintin fought well in his first fight winning 8-0 against his opponent with his kizamizuki. However, 2nd fight, his opponent read him and won 5-0 and finished Quintin chances of winning a medal.
In the team Kumite. Quintin was joined by Yuan Yogarajah and JHKA athlete Jamie Ward representing the boys kumite team. Unfortunately on this occasion, the boys were unlucky and did not qualify for the next round and missed out on a medal.
Well done to the team selected and a special mention to Yuan with a return to the tatami after a 4 year break.
