Alongside our 2023 squad sessions, there will be an opportunity for elite squad members to be selected to attend small and dedicated training sessions with world class coaches in 2023. These sessions will be dedicated to focussing and improving those fine margins that can be the difference between winning a medal and losing a medal. Furthermore, those fine margins can be the difference between a gold medal and a silver medal.
Elite squad members will be deemed by the following criteria:
- Work ethic and intensity in training
- Talent and ability in training and competiton
- Focus and attitude during training
- Training Diaries (Extra training outside of the dojo should be recorded and shown to coaches)
- Misbehaviour will result in not being considered
- Kata Elite Session 1a – with Englands most successful kata coach
