JHKA Karate Summer Camp 2024: A Day to Remember
This year, the JHKA (Jade Honeywood Karate Academy) hosted an exceptional summer camp that brought together karate enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels for a day of intense training, camaraderie, and inspiration. Held on a sunny weekend, the camp was a blend of rigorous practice, learning, and unforgettable experiences, all under the expert guidance of Sensei Jade Honeywood.
Special Guest Appearance: Neve Ewing
Adding to the excitement, the camp featured a special guest, Neve Ewing from Scotland. Ranked 3rd in the world in the under-21 category and a bronze medalist at the World Games in Saudi Arabia, Neveโs presence was a highlight for all participants. Her demonstrations and personal coaching sessions provided invaluable insights and inspiration to the budding karatekas.
A Day of Intensive Learning and Fun
The camp kicked off with a warm welcome from Sensei Jade Honeywood, who thanked everyone for their participation and extended special gratitude to Neve Ewing for her willingness to share her expertise. The morning session focused on kata and kumite techniques, with Neve showcasing some of the advanced moves that have propelled her to the top of the world rankings.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one sparring sessions, receive personalized tips, and gain a deeper understanding of the mental and physical discipline required to excel in karate. Neveโs coaching was particularly beneficial for the younger participants, who were eager to learn from a world-class athlete.
