A statement weekend for our squad at the British International Open Championships 2026 
Success is not built on one result, one athlete or one moment. It is built over years of commitment, discipline, trust and hard work.
We have continued to deliver at the highest level in Great Britain. We continue to produce champions, finalists and medal winners on the national and international stage, not by chance but because our coaching, our methods and our process work.
This weekend, our small squad finished 7th in the overall medal table out of 62 associations representing England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, New Zealand and beyond.

But this result is about more than medals. It is a reminder that strong foundations cannot be easily shaken.
We will take setbacks along the way. But the standard remains the same and the results continue to speak for themselves.
Every knock makes us stronger. Every setback fuels us. Every challenge brings another response.

We will always protect the environment we have built and the way we prepare our athletes. In combat sport, preparation is not something to be handed out freely. Our training, strategy and methods belong to the team that has earned them.
We don’t need to reveal everything. We don’t need to explain every decision. We don’t need to convince everyone.
The people inside the team know the work. The coaches know the process. The athletes know what it takes.
We will keep developing. We will keep evolving. We will keep building with those who believe in the vision, respect the process and understand the standard.
