Exclusive Kumite Training Session at Southend Paper Street Dojo
We were thrilled to invite a select group of dedicated karatekas for an intensive two-day kumite training session held at the esteemed Southend Paper Street Dojo. This exclusive event was led by none other than Shihan Anthoni Everitt and Sensei Jade Honeywood, two of the most respected coaches in England today and part of Frontier Karate Association.
The training session was meticulously designed to hone the participants’ skills in kumite, with a focus on both the technical and strategic aspects of the art. Over the course of six grueling sessions, participants were taken through a comprehensive range of drills aimed at refining their attacking and defensive techniques, mastering mat positioning, and gaining a deeper understanding of how to control the flow of a match.
The training took place in challenging conditions, with the heat adding an extra layer of intensity to the already demanding sessions. However, the participants rose to the occasion, demonstrating resilience and a strong will to improve. By the end of the second day, the sense of accomplishment was palpable, with everyone leaving the dojo exhausted but exhilarated.
This was not just a test of physical endurance but also of mental toughness, as the training pushed each participant to their limits. The experience provided invaluable lessons in the art of kumite and left everyone eagerly anticipating the next opportunity to put their enhanced skills to the test.
As we look back on this successful event, we extend our gratitude to Shihan Anthoni Everitt and Sensei Jade Honeywood for sharing their expertise and guiding our karatekas through this exceptional training experience. We now take a few days to recover and reflect on the progress made, with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to excel in the art of kumite.
Stay tuned for more upcoming events and training opportunities as we continue our journey to karate excellence.
